Privacy policy

What SlopScore collects, why, and how to get it removed. Last updated October 5, 2026.

Text you check

• The checker on this site runs in your browser. The text you paste is scored on your device and is not sent to our servers.
• The browser extension also scores text on your device. It uses Chrome's local storage only for its own settings and sends nothing to us.
• The API and MCP server (/api/check, /api/paid/*, /mcp) receive the text you send, score it, and return the result. We don't save that text or the result.
• Website scoring (/api/score-url) fetches the public page you name. The result for that URL may be cached by our hosting provider for up to about a day so repeat requests are fast.
• The CLI, library, agent skill and GitHub Action run on your own machine. They don't contact us unless you point them at the hosted API.

Information we keep

• Pro customers. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card. We keep your email address, your plan, the Stripe customer, subscription and checkout IDs, and a one-way hash of your API key, so we can deliver and revoke keys. We email your key to you once.
• Agency plan waitlist. If you join, we keep the email address, the agency name you typed, whether you asked for the founding price, the time, and the page you came from.
• Unsubscribe list. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address so we never email you again.
• Pay-per-call payments. x402 payments are made in USDC on the Base blockchain. Blockchain transactions, including the paying wallet address, are public by nature and can't be deleted by us.
• Request logs. Our host, Vercel, keeps short-lived request logs (such as IP address, time and URL) for security and debugging. We use IP addresses in memory to enforce rate limits and don't store them ourselves.

We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies, and we don't sell or rent personal information.

Emails to agencies

We sometimes email businesses at their public business addresses about a free report on their own public website. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-outs right away. Agency reports live on unlisted pages that search engines are told not to index. Email us to have a report deleted.

Our crawler

SlopScoreBot reads public pages only, follows robots.txt, and goes slowly. Details are on the bot page.

Service providers

Vercel (hosting and private file storage), Stripe (Pro payments), AgentMail (email) and the Base network (pay-per-call payments). Each processes data only as needed to provide its part of the service.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing slopscore@agentmail.to. You can unsubscribe at any time at /unsubscribe. Deleting Pro records ends the API key tied to them. We keep payment records only as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Children

SlopScore is a tool for adults and businesses and isn't directed at children under 13.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
